Giraffe watercolor in the largest Moleskine A3 16″ x something or other

Filed under: Uncategorized — Elizabeth @ 5:17 pm

Blessed with some time off work, a spring break stay-cation – at last a chance to dig in, here is one of the fun things that came out yesterday, enjoy.

  1. Those crazy guys! I love the adult’s face — has to be a mom! She still has her makeup on, but she’s had a hard day, and she just lets her ears flap any ol’ way — kind of an exhausted typical-mom look. And the kid — must be a girl, and she’s being belligerent — which causes that tired look on Mom’s face. I love them both. I wish you had more time to paint your lovable creatures. You do beautiful work!

  2. Betsy, I can’t beat a description like your mom gave – for these cuties, but I sure do like them. You even know how to put in shadows in the right places!! I, too, with you had more time for your wonderful paintings – you have so much to share! sc

  3. Hope I haven’t posted twice. I had problems leaving a comment. Anyway I love your use of color on this. I’ve gone on safari in Tanzania and watched these amazing creatures run. It is like slow motion and so graceful. One of my favorite animals.
